Application Process

Please be sure to read the section on Program Eligibility. Only applications of eligible candidates will be reviewed. The number of applicants that may enroll are limited so apply today. All applications are due by the last Friday in September.

To apply to the Partnership Program, teachers or school contact persons should download and complete the application or apply online.An approval signature of your supervisor or building principal must be included on your application in order to be considered.

After you apply, a CARD committee at each CARD center will review the applications to select Partnership Program participants. After the selection process, a notification letter will be sent to each applicant of acceptance or rejection. If accepted, a letter will also be sent to your supervisor or building principal.

FIRST YEAR APPLICATION

**Second Year Leadership Applicants…

If you have successfully completed one year in the partnership program, you may apply to participate in the program for a second year on the leadership track.

The 2nd Year leadership track extends the work of the partner beyond their classrooms and into their districts. Second year leader Partners work to share their innovative classroom practices with other teachers and therefore impact the lives of more students with autism spectrum disorders.

Program Eligibility

*First Year Applicants…

  • Applicants must be teachers or school staff in the State of Florida who provide instruction to a student or students with autism within a general or special education program.
  • There must be a commitment by the teacher or school staff to the enhancement of practices or school components that are provided to students with autism.

**Second Year Leadership Applicants…

  • In order to participate in the second year leadership track applicants are required to have successfully completed one year of the Partnership Program as a first year participant and must receive a nomination from their assigned CARD staff.
  • Applicants must be teachers or school staff in the State of Florida who provide instruction to a student or students with autism within a general or special education program.
  • There must be a commitment by the teacher or school staff to the enhancement of practices or school components that are provided to students with autism.
