Lyn Geariety received her Master’s degree in communication disorders from Florida State and Education Specialist degree in special education from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has worked in Gadsden County for twenty-four years and has been an assistive technology specialist for ten years. She is passionate about providing quality augmentative and alternative communication services and literacy experiences to her students.

Proposed Project:

The Unique curriculum was developed for students with varying disabilities on the alternate assessment track. The teacher will use and adapt these materials to teach reading skills to a class of students with autism who have a range of skill levels. (With Elizabeth Ann Oaks)
