Training Description
This session provides an in-depth exploration of co-teaching models that promote successful educational design. Attendees will learn about six coteaching approaches and discover strategies for how to use these models to enhance collaboration, planning, data collection, and differentiation. The presentation also highlights the benefits of co-teaching for students and educators, emphasizing equity, accessibility, and professional growth.
Training Objectives
Participants will gain knowledge of the six co-teaching models and understand how to apply them in the classroom setting. Including a series of action steps to integrate different strategies within the co-teaching models to enhance collaboration, joint planning, data collection, and differentiation to meet the needs of all students.Target Audience
Educators, Speech and Language Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Mental Health and Behavioral Health Therapists & providers, Other Professionals, Parents.
About the Presenter
Dr. Krystle Merry is a Lecturer at the University of Maine. She is a National Board Certified Teacher Exceptional Needs Specialist, Digital Accessibility Specialist, and educator with over 15 years of inclusive education experience. She has a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction Special Education, Masters in Gifted and Talented, Bachelors in Middle Childhood Education, and Certificates in Autism, Transition, and ESOL.
