This is Teresa's second year teaching students with autism spectrum disorder in a self-contained class at Bay Point Middle School in Pinellas County. She has also taught in Indianapolis, Indiana; in Miami, Florida; and in a maximum security prison for juvenile males. Teresa has been teaching students with special needs since 1974; she has taught students with mild to profound cognitive disabilities, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disabilities.

Teresa has a B.S. degree from Indiana State University and an M.S. degree from Butler University, both in Special Education. Her Florida teacher certification includes Exceptional Student Education, Elementary Education, Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum, and endorsements in Reading and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
