University of Central FloridaMarisa Erhart, Orange County Marisa Erhart is a speech-language pathologist for Orange County Public Schools. She has a B.A. degree in Psychology, a B.S. degree in Communicative Disorders, and a master’s degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida. As an undergrad and grad student, she worked as a student assistant at the UCF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, where she helped run the Sister’s Club, helped with Camp Two Can, and made visual supports for families. In the summer of 2011, she had the pleasure of working at the Social Spy Camp, where she worked with students who have autism on how to incorporate social skills. Proposed Project: The teacher will be targeting social thinking in the mainstream classrooms and special areas to see if students with autism spectrum disorders, who are in a general education classroom setting for part or all of the school day, have an increase in expected behaviors and a decrease in unexpected behaviors.
