This Seventh Annual Autism Summer Institute is presented to you by the Florida Department of Education (DOE) and the Partnership for Effective Programs for Students with Autism (PEPSA) in collaboration with the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) at USF, and Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk County School Districts.

The Partnership for Effective Programs for Students with Autism is program funded by the State of Florida, Department of Education, K-12 Public Schools, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, through federal assistance under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part B.

The Summer Institute will include sessions for those who are new to the field as well as more experienced individuals who desire additional information on research, innovations, and the provision of effective programs to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

PLEASE NOTE: Handouts for General Sessions will not be printed and distributed at the training. YOU will be responsible for downloading handouts for the General Sessions you plan on attending. The only handouts printed and provided to you will be for the two workgroup sessions you select on the afternoon of Day Three. Therefore, if you prefer to have a printed handout with you for the General Sessions, you must print your own.

The play, Autistic License, offers a look at the complicated world of a family living with autism.  It presents audiences with a glimpse of the joys, terrors, rewards and struggles of raising a child in a world that has far too many opinions on what is "normal."
